About this healthy fairy
Cooking and exercising are my passions. Eating healthy is a struggle because of where I live, but it can be done. It is my decision to not put anything in my body that will harm me. I try to incorporate that into my families ways also, but kids will be kids and I only want to teach them how to live a healthy life.
I am human so I give into temptations! I love chocolate, almond butter, and anything sweet but I have learned its okay to have those things once in a while. As long as I stay active and aware of what I am eating, I will be okay.
I’ve lost 160 pounds in the last year and a half through diet and exercise. I’m very proud of myself. I am slowly regaining my confidence. I’m also still learning each day how to incorporate my new diet to last a lifetime. I welcome any advice if you have any and I will return to anyone who wants any wisdom I have!
And now my for my next achievement, I am going to be a personal trainer one day. My goal is to “inspire my girls and other girls to reach their full potential!

I found your site through Helen’s site and being a sudo vegan, I can totally relate to what you are saying, the switch is hard! My step son is a raw vegan and that is what started our switch! I am just now trying to move my site over to add more things ( it’s a work in progress and I have some injuries) so it’s slowing me down) but I am getting there! I have cut out eggs, milk and trying to cut out oil and and cut way back on cheese! We only eat meat once a week and fish once a week!
It’s an adjustment, but your body will change, you will feel better but you can do it! But I have noticed, it’s not always easy! And the world is not always friendly!
I wish you the very best!

Hi Traci! thanks for visiting my blog. You are doing great! It is tough. I know less than a handful of vegans I know. So I have been doing this on my own. That is why I love the blogging community. People are so accepting and so kind to offer great advice! It is definitely a difficult transition, but it can be done.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I wish you well with your journey!
come back soon!
Thanks Farrah and I will, us Vegans have to stick together! I look forward to following your journey!
Thanks for stopping by my blog, I am in the progress of getting it up and running, hopefully in the next few weeks! I am hoping to have some Vegan tips with helpful hints up soon. Also, some good eats up this weekend which I made yesterday, with pictures!
Take care!
Traci
Good For you, what an inspiration to others, and most excitingly, to your children!
Farrah – first of all great to find another Arab blogger and better great to hear that you are trying to go vegan! I can vouch for how hard it is especially trying to strike a balance with family and cultural traditions but I know you’ll be able to do it. Your story is so inspiring and find your motivation to be a better example for your girls truly admirable. I too have aspirations to get my personal training certification some day so we have that in common too
I look forward to reading more from you.
Hi Farrah I was woundering how did u find the right motivation to change what u ate , I have been try but have had nothing but set backs . My husband is in the military and its hard to say no let’s not eat that cause he hasn’t . What would u recommend . I see u have done great and its been years since I seen u but ur doing great good job
Hi Jessica! Than you for visiting my blog.
The motto I put in my head to get me going was “no one will do it for you”. You have to keep a goal in mind and do it only for yourself.
As for the eating, just have one meal where you can eat what you want a week. The rest of your meals should be fresh, healthy meals. There are a lot of options, even at most restaurants. I like to look for new healthy recipes so I don’t get bored.
Good luck to you. Let me know if you want to know anything else!

Wow my dearest cousin!! This is a great achievement! Truly I’m so proud of you. And as I noticed you had the will to do so and everything worked out positively as you wished for. And as we always know if there is a will there is way. You have a lovely family and adorable girls
keep it up, good luck and don’t you ever give up! I love you Farrah kisses
Thank you so much Zina for stopping by. It means so much that you like it. Slowly, but surely I am making my dreams come true.
Amazing! You don’t even look like the same person and you basically lost the weight of a whole person. Bravo on your healthy life!
Thank you!! I don’t feel like the same person both mentally and physically. I can stare at my old pictures all day. A lot of emotion comes over me when I do. I know many people don’t like to look at their old pictures, but it reminds me how far I’ve come and that I don’t want to go back to that unhappy part of my life.
Wow, you have done SO good! You are very inspiring. You’re beautiful too!
Thank you, that is very sweet of you to say!
Oh my gosh! You look radiant! and I don’t just mean because you lost an amazing 160 pounds…I mean you look like you are radiating from the INSIDE out! You can tell when someone has fully committed their life to making health their priority and it shows on their face! You’ve got that glow girl! Keep it up!
THANK YOU so much! I can see that too. Especially now more than ever. It’s funny to me that I have never doubted my commitment to a healthy life. I think it’s because it just feels very natural.
