Usually I would have a “What I Ate Wednesday” for you today, but I decided to take a break yesterday. Nothing major happened, but my body and mind needed a rest day. I woke up feeling still tired and not refreshed at all. Actually I was in a bad mood. So I did some cleaning around the house, laundry and played with Amani.

We are all different. Some people can function on 6 or 7 hours of sleep. Not me. I need at least 8 or 9. I’ve always been that way. As a kid, if it was my bed-time I would fall asleep no matter where I was. (kitchen table, party, car). What works for one person may not work for someone else.

None of our exercise plans are identical either; so we must make sure we are fueling ourselves properly too. To get your metabolism moving again it is important to eat every 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Just make sure those meals aren’t too large. I know many of you already know this, I just thought I would remind you. Smile

Well this morning I woke up completely opposite of how I did yesterday. I woke up a little bit earlier and very refreshed. I was ready to take on and enjoy my day. It helped being in bed by 9. Now I am off to the gym to do a little bit of running and enjoy a yoga class! Enjoy your day friends.

  1. We all have those grumpy days. I’m like you- definitely need at least 8 hours of sleep to function! Rest up!
