Rose Romano’s Italian Peppers Review
When I received 4 jars of a gourmet topping from Dr. Marshall Angotti, creator of the food company, Rose Romano’s, specializing in Italian peppers I was already impressed. The gift box Dr. Angotti sent was heavy and very well put together. I appreciated that.
My favorite statement I read about the product was, “This product is all natural and does not contain any synthetic preservatives”. You can really tell the difference when you taste it.
Dr. Angotti writes,
My food is basic. Italians do not smother their food in sauce or toppings. They are used to complement and enhance their food, not overpower it. I wanted a gourmet topping that would be worthy of that tradition. And I’m proud to say that Rose Romano’s is.
I wish more companies instilled in his values. We would all be healthier and not have to read every ingredient label.
These toppings are low calorie, gluten-free, locally sourced and made with red or green bell peppers. They pair amazingly well with pastas, seafood, vegetables, omelets and sandwiches. Fresh bell peppers are simmered in a traditional marinara sauce which makes this product easy to cook with any meal. The possibilities are really endless.
One of the meal ideas I came up with was to use it as a pasta sauce. I used quinoa pasta, broccoli and garlic. This dish is so versatile.
You can use any type of pasta and vegetables. Grilled chicken or shrimp would make a great addition.
I also used it as a topping on eggs. I used many variations. Scrambled eggs with green pepper sauce is good, but I really like Mediterranean food. I sautéed diced eggplant, mushrooms and zucchini, filled it in an omelet, then topped it with the red bell pepper topping. Absolutely delicious and tastes like a gourmet meal. Now that I think of it, fresh mozzarella would make it perfect! I think I’ll try that next time.
Next, I want to try them with an eggplant Panini! I really enjoyed these toppings because they can be used with almost any dish when you don’t have to make a healthy meal for your family.
