Updating My Pantry
I have a pretty small pantry. When you love cooking as much as I do, you can never have enough space.
Because my home was built in the 80’s, we are trying to update every room one step at a time. My pantry was really starting to annoy me. The shelves were thick boards. I didn’t like that because I felt like I couldn’t look up or down at the things in the back. Organizing a pantry is important to me because it makes cooking an enjoyable and stress free experience.
I started out by patching up the holes and scrubbing the walls with water and a mild detergent.
After that was dry, it was time to paint!
Olympic Brand from Lowe’s : Flagstone
Since I had a lot of left over paint, I decided to paint another small room outside of my kitchen. I cannot express to you how much in love I am with this color! It’s very neutral but still pops.
I love how the flagstone color looks and transitions well with the rose and white colors.
After some trial and error, we finally got the shelves up. Thank goodness for a handy husband!
I like these shelves so much more. I can see everything now.
