Udi’s Gluten Free Review
Gluten is a protein found in wheat, barley, rye, malts and triticale. It is used to flavor or thicken foods. Taking gluten out of a diet is the only medically accepted treatment for celiac disease.
The kind people at Udi’s sent over some great products for my family and I to try. They really spoiled us. I was just expecting some hot dog buns.
Chloe and Amani helped me open the open the box. Chloe said, “wow, they are such a nice company for sending us these things”. I agreed.
Of course we all wanted to try the cookies right away. I seriously thought all they made was bread. I was pleasantly surprised with the taste.
We tried the brownie bites first. They are amazing and perfectly portioned. They were not dry at all and had little tiny chocolate chips inside.
Amani wanted to try the chocolate chip cookies. Of course, they are classic.
What a foodie, I tell ya!
Chloe tried the snicker doodles. They smell like winter. So much cinnamon in them.
We saved the Oatmeal Raisin Cookies for Rudy. I know he would be the real tester. They are his favorite kind of cookies. He finished them that night. I didn’t even taste them. ‘Nuff said.
To use the bread, I made brisket for Rudy and the girls. I made the best vegetarian burger I’ve ever had for myself.
I used the whole grain hamburger buns for a Portobello burger!
I paired it with a baked sweet potato and fresh jalapeno.
As a dressing, I used chipotle ketchup on top and relish on the bottom. Why would you want a regular greasy burger, when you can have this? The bread was so soft and grainy. I really loved it. Plus, no stomach problems!
We thank you Udi’s so much!
